Ethyl maltol is an organic compound flavor enhancer that is widely used in food, beverage, tobacco, confectionary, cosmetics, etc. ethyl maltol has remarkable fruit flavor and improves and increases the fruit-sweet flavor and the taste of the product and also removes the uncomfortable taste or smell such as bitter, irritation and tartness. It can preserve its sweetness and aroma after it is dissolved in water and the solution is stable. As an ideal additive, ethyl maltol features safety, innocuity, wide application, good effect and little dosage.
Reference dosage:
Soft drinks: 1.5-6mg/L
Ice cream, frozen products and ketchup: 5-15ml/kg
Chocolate, candy and dessert: 5-50mg/kg
Remarks:
Ethyl maltol and its solution should not contact any metal.
