Salicylic acid is white crystal or crystalline powder. It is fat-soluble organic acid. It has no odor and is slightly sweet and then hot, no chemical changes in the air. Slightly dissolves in water but dissolves in boiling water easily. Dissolves in ethanol or ether and slightly soluble in.
